Lebanon parliament suspends sessions for over a week over coronavirus

The Lebanese parliament has suspended its sessions and committee meetings for a week as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus. Parliament announced in a statement that tomorrow’s session will be postponed for a week, adding that the parliament building and deputies’ offices will be disinfected. The Lebanese foreign ministry announced yesterday that it has received a set of medical protection equipment from France to confront the coronavirus infection. On Sunday, the Lebanese health ministry announced that the total number of people infected with the coronavirus has reached 33 cases. The first death from the disease in the country was announced this morning.
