Paris- According to Yemen Online daily news, A number of Yemen political   parties criticized foreign interventions and international community stances, reaffirming their rejection of the roadmap agreed upon by Saudi Arabia and the Houthis. They stated in a meeting with the Southern Transitional Council through the Berghof Foundation in the Jordanian capital, Amman, during the period of July 20-23, 2024, that they were unaware of any peace roadmap and had not received it. They added that Riyadh has not clarified its current position in Yemen as a mediator or a party, as its behavior in the peace process has become unilateral without consulting the legitimate government.

The parties emphasized their commitment to economic decisions, especially the Central Bank's decision, considering the actions of the UN envoy and Riyadh as yielding to the Houthis and a serious bypass of legitimacy, which is sourced from the parties and the people rejecting the Houthis.

The Transitional Council delegation confirmed during the Amman meeting that they had heard about a peace roadmap but had not yet received any details from Riyadh. The national parties and the Transitional Council asserted that they would not succumb to any Houthi blackmail and were not obliged to abide by decisions made unilaterally by the UN envoy in coordination with Saudi Arabia. They called on the international and regional community to adhere to agreements and UN Security Council resolutions, the Riyadh Agreement, and others.

Representatives of the parties participating in the meeting sharply criticized the role and performance of the international community and the UN envoy's management of the Yemen file, describing it as poor and no different from his predecessor. The participants considered the international submission to the Houthis as leading to catastrophic results for Riyadh first, and for Yemen and the region. They noted that the procedures for handing over Hodeidah under UN supervision in 2018 carried the same claims of the peace process and its ambiguous roadmap.

Representatives of the Yemeni parties, alongside the Southern Transitional Council, stressed during the meeting the necessity of having international peacekeeping forces and stopping the reckless actions of the Houthi militia. They asserted that military action is the only effective solution at this crucial stage and that anything less would be a truce to further strengthen the Houthis in Yemen and expand their political, economic, and military influence, despite their constant threats to bombard regional countries and international shipping lines in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.

Meanwhile, Western sources indicated that the United States rejected a peace roadmap presented by Saudi Arabia, which was formed through Saudi mediation with Omani support and welcomed by the Houthis.

On the other hand, regarding to media  sources mentioned that the person managing the Yemen file at the German Berghof Foundation is Ali Saif Hassan, a Yemeni politician and activist who is loyal to the Houthis.
